Nokia Lumia 1020 with 41MP camera appears on India site NEW DELHI:  Nokia  has listed its  Lumia  1020 smartphone, which has a  41MP  rear camera, on its India website. This handset was unveiled just a week ago at an even in London and is said to have the best camera among all smartphones. Nokia India's official website has listed Lumia 1020 in 'Coming Soon' section. However, the company has not given any details on its pricing or launch date. A listing on e-commerce website eBay India shows that the handset has been unofficially priced at Rs 51,450, with launch date of September-October 2013. The 41MP camera of Lumia 1020 records more details than other camera phones and even tops many point-and-shoot cameras, Nokia says. More pixels mean more sensors for capturing the light that forms an image. Yahoo accepting requests for inactive email IDs SAN FRANCISCO:  Yahoo  is allowing people to place claims on inactive  email  addresses that are being given a second life.  The opportunity to request the identifications began Monday afternoon and will extend through Aug. 7. Up to five different names can be submitted at http://wishlist.yahoo.com .  Yahoo Inc. says a substantial number of old email IDs are being made available, but isn't providing specifics.  The email IDs are being released a month after the Sunnyvale, California, company notified users that they would have 30 days to log into an inactive account if they wanted to keep it.  People awarded the rights to the recycled email addresses will have a 48-hour period to activate the accounts beginning Aug. 15

UP owes Hewlett Packard Rs 900 crore for ‘free' laptops LUCKNOW: Four months after the Uttar Pradesh chief minister  Akhilesh Yadav  began distributing free laptops to students, it now turns out that  Hewlett Packard , the supplier, has not been paid for more than 5 lakh laptops it has so far delivered. With a Rs 900-crore bill pending, HP has threatened to stop further supplies till dues are settled, government sources said.  In June 2012, the  Samajwadi Party  government had announced a budget of Rs 2,721.24 crore for distributing tablets and laptops to all meritorious students of classes X and XII. Of this, while Rs 400 crore was earmarked for tablets, the remaining was to be spent on laptops.  But funds got entangled in red tape and only Rs 312 crore was released into the accounts of district magistrates, who, in turn, are responsible for releasing funds to HP representatives in districts.
